Final exam
Specimen examination papers
You can request a specimen exam before you sit your final exam, but they are not mandatory.
Specimen examination papers can be sent directly to your individual tutor for comments.
Sitting your final exam
To sit your final exam, you will either need to arrange an invigilator or visit a Learning Network Queensland centre. You must give 14 days notice to sit an exam.

Exams cost $50 for Australian students and $100 for international students.

Arranging an invigilator (or approved supervisor)
Your invigilator needs to:
- be a person that is not related to you
- have a place of business with appropriate testing conditions to supervise your exam
- have a business address where the exam is to be mailed
- be a professional person such as a teacher, lecturer, JP, solicitor, librarian, police person or other person of such standing.
You will need to complete a final exam request form to arrange your exam. This form can be found in your study guide, and can also be downloaded from our forms page.
Once it has been completed by yourself and your proposed invigilator, you will need to mail it to:

Location of exam
You must sit the exam in a place of business where you will have uninterrupted, quiet conditions to complete the exam. The invigilator should be in visual proximity to you at all times during the exam.
Using a Learning Network Queensland centre
Learning Network Queensland (LNQ) has over 30 centres located throughout Queensland. If you live near a centre, you can arrange to sit your exam there for no extra cost. Visit the Learning Network Queensland website to view centre locations.
You will need to complete a final exam request form to arrange your exam. This form can be found in your study guide, and can also be downloaded from our forms page.
Before you complete the form, you should contact your local LNQ centre to determine the best time and date for your exam. Visit the Learning Network Queensland website for centre locations and contact details.
Once the form has been completed, you will need to mail it to:

After you've completed your final exam
Your exam will be marked within one week of completion, and you will be notified of your results by either email or phone. You'll receive your certificate and letter of completion within 10 working days of being notified.
Marks awarded
50%-64% - Pass
65%-74% - Credit
75%-84% - Distinction
85%-100% - High Distinction
Other important information
If you have a different deadline to the normal VTAC / QTAC dates, you must inform UNILEARN in writing as soon as possible.
You have three attempts to pass the final exam, and you must pay the examination fee for each attempt. If you fail the first attempt, you will need to contact your tutor to set up a study program for the areas you had difficulty in before you can attempt the test again.
